theres a little debate goin on over at clubSi.com, and i just wanna prove someone wrong... are the blowers for the Sir and type R the same? I know that they can both be interchanged but someone seems to think that the blower for the Type R is larger than the SIR. I did a search and couldn't find anything.

THey both use the M62 Eaton roots blower. I know that the ITR uses a nose pully from JAckson with a diameter of 4.2 inches. I'm not sure of the diameter on the SI/SIR (silly canadians).

From what I've seen, all VTEC B series kits use the M62. The only differences I would imagine would be in the alternator/tensioning bracket that bolts to the head and the block. It might be taller for the B18 kits due to the longer stroke.

The Type R and the B16A kits are the same, both use the same pulley size ( 4.2") and the same blower ( M62). If you purchase the kit new , the type R kit comes with a new fuel pump.
The GSR kits uses the same blower ( M62) , the pulley size is 4.0" and all kits use the same bracket assembly.
The LS and B20 kit uses the same bracket assembly , but the M45 Blower and differant manifolds.
Hope this clears it up.
