JRSC and shearing bolts????
Hey folks.
I have a UK EP3 Type-R, that has a Jackson Racing Supercharger fitted. Now I am just running the street (4psi) kit. Around 8 months after it was fitted. Two of the bolts that mount the charger onto the inlet side of the block sheared off leaving the ends of the bolts in. My tuner managed to remove these and fit upgraded bolts. Now 6 months further on the same two bolts have sheared again!
They are the top and bottom bolts on the far right as you look.
The car is never tracked and driven with mechanical sympathy allways (with that power you do not need to be brutal )
Anyhoo, I was just wondering if any of you folks with chargers on K20's had suffered the same at all.
Thanks for any help.

Re: JRSC and shearing bolts???? (EnzoSpeed)
Thanks for the help guys, I was thinking of some kind of brace on the right hand side. The bolts I am using have 8.8 stamped on the top? I guess that is not up to the job

Broke.
Although another issue that arises is that the aluminum threads rip out of the charger. DON'T overtorque the bolts or you'll have to helicoil the threads.
