Hey I have a few quick questions,
1. Can I run a JRSC on my gsr w/ stock boost with out any tuning for a month or twp without any problems?
2. Can I use a Apexi VAFC in conjunction with my JRSC and make any more power?
3. What kind of tuning set up would you recommend if In a month or two I get a 30 shot put in along with the jrsc and apexi vafc.

Bite the bullet and get a Hondata set up... you can run the "stock" JR setup for a while, but if you keep the blower you'll end up with Hondata sooner or later... If you want a cheap fix for now, I've got a used JR MAP controller, and I've got a full SMC500/resistor box/cleaned DSM 450cc injector set up for that purpose also. Email me if your interested in these things. I'm running the Moss Motors/Hondata base map unmodified and I must say I'm pretty damn pleased... Other than running pretty rich, runs like the car came with the blower.

 

I'm not sure what kind of power you want to make, but a JRSC at 6psi is pretty strong. Why not hold off on the gas until you know what HP you make on the blower? If not, you can always run 9spi and make around 230whp. Just a few ideas.

 

get your car tuned then get all over it, but for the time being do not drive in boost!!!!!!!!!

 

Don't waste money on the VAFC, by the time you buy that and tune it , you will be at the same cost as a Hondata s100 with boost. With this you can also get the Moss/Hondata pretuned chip and may not need any additional tuning. WHen you install the blower go ahead and raise the boost, it's easier then. If you really want to do it right, just get the Big Boost kit from Moss Motors from the get go.
