JRSC question.. or problem?
Have a pretty important question guys.. I was wondering if the supercharger is off of the car.. should you be able to spin it by hand? The JRSC spins freely, but feels like it stops or gets stuck after a certain point..
I can spin the blower about 2-3 revolutions and then it stops... The blades look fine, the clearances are pretty tight of course. It doesnt take too much effort to spin, but once it reaches that point its tough by hand. What could possibly be wrong?

um...I know for sure that the charger should be able to spin freely and shouldn't become stuck....If the blades look fine then it is possible that something is wrong with the nose pulley. Definitely wouldn't install it on the car if it is not spinning freely...good luck>

Mine spun freely.
Silly question for you though. Does it feel like it building compression, maybe thats causing it to not spin freely?? Just a thought.

The blower should spin freely and sometimes it might feel like it's stopping, it's just because the clearances are very tight. Check your snout on the blower and try to see if the shaft moves in or out, if not then you should be fine. If it does or you really have to crank the blower to get it to turn by hand, you might have some problems.
Did you buy the supercharger used?
Was it on your car before? or someone else's?
