Default JRSC question

Hello. I just bought a ITR with a JRSC on it.
At about 1/4-1/2 throttle there is a whistling noise coming from it. Does anyone know what that is?

also, who around here is good at tuning these? I just have the JRSC kit running 5.5 psi. no other mods yet, and i want to get it running good so i dont have to worry about it for a while.

thanks guys,

Nick

Does this whistling noise only happen at that RPM???

As far as tuning them you need some form of tune-able software or EMS. Do you know if the ECU is chipped or you have some form of piggyback like a V-afc with an FMU.

Go here: http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-b...f/110

...and ask for JRCivic (Jim) -- he's in Alabama, if I'm not mistaken.

Happy Motoring

Lol...

Is it a whistle, or is it a quiet whine? If it's a whistle, it's your intake sucking in air. If it's a whine, it's the charger beginning to make low amounts of boost (the SC will make about 2-3psi in a high gear at half throttle)

Either way, nothing at all to worry about, and completely normal.
