JRSC Melts IAT Sensor
This just happened to me. Has it happened to anyone else? Its a 60 dollar piece of plastic, I dont want it to happen again, so I was thinking of relocating it to the intake-tb connector. Good idea?

Re: JRSC Melts IAT Sensor (tegunderpressure)
It should be in the intake manifold so the ECU can see the actual intake temps as close to the combustion chamber as possible.
How much boost are you making, and what kind of intake temps are you getting. I think it's more likely that your blower is bad and creating way too much heat or your engine is over heating and the heat is transfering into your intake manifold.

Re: JRSC Melts IAT Sensor (tegunderpressure)
It happened to me once.
I noticed it when my car threw a code and every time I cleared the code a day or two later it would come back. I first thought it was bad wiring, but when I pulled the sensor off the manifold I noticed the plastic peace that is buried in the manifold had been melted to almost nothing but a small wire.
If I were you I'd search for excessive heat problems and possibly any hairline cracks in your manifold.
