Default JRSC B18C5's? Still considering.

Any of you guys running the JRSC on a B18C5? I'm realy thinking of it now that I saw the Hondata site with the boosted 98 Type R. Not bad #'s. I think it was like 262 @ the wheels.

Don't waste your time with SC. Go turbo instead and you won't regret it down down the line.

i absoloutely LOVE my JRSC ITR! it gives me everything i wanted from a motor upgrade. predictable and quicker acceleration which makes it not only faster in a straight line, but EXTREMELY easy to control on the race track where throttle response (which is insance on a JRSC ITR) is important as is control and predictability when coming out of turns. sure, it ain't meant fror drag racing, but neither is the ITR. a JRSC simply makes it even more of what the car excels at!! also, the installation is very easy, the cost is reasonable and it is very reliable. i have done track sessions at gingferman in 100+ degree heat with ZERO problems. and yes, the car is a LOT faster than stock, even with just my base ITR boost level. i have NO problems with anything other than supercars on the highway. corvettes are all a matter of who steps on the gas first. mustangs and camaros? don't bother me

it all depends on your personality. Me, Im used to the new power level in 3.5 seconds flat, then I want more. If you are someone who is content with what you have, then go JRSC. Its, well, "vactor" just said what it is. Turbo, turbo has ALOT of room to grow. "b18cx" just made 324whp on a STOCK jdm b18c, with a relatively standard turbo kit. a C5 should be able to out-do that by quite a bit more if the tuner is good

I get alot of ppl telling me to go turbo & skip the SC. I'm not knocking what your saying cause I've driven both types of cars. I'm not really trying to make gobbs of whp but I feel this is a route I have to go. Maybe (while we're on the subject) you can help me understand something. I've been told that to run a large enough & efficient enough intercooler you have to cut the front bumper supports out. True? It wouldn't bother @ all if it were a GSR or a Civic but, I'm really not too keen on doing that to a limited edition car! So if I've been told wrong please let me know. I'm still learning little by little. I feel that when I get enough info on both worlds I can make a better decision. Thanx!!!
