Actually its for a boat, not a helicopter. Thought it was on a car tho...guess we were both wrong. Cars with turbine engines driving the wheels do exist though. An american car manufacturer built a few prototypes way back in the fifties.

WTF? I know.

The guy said that it meant the power went to the wheels. I pointed out that this probably wasn't true, since it was for a helicopter, and wheels would be pretty useless when it was FLYING.

WTF?

The picture says "L-7 shaft turbine used in Chinook helicopters."

Thus, I think it's used in helicopters, since the picture says EXACTLY THAT.

Do you even know how to read?

Why would a sign need to say "used in helicopters" if the engine on display was actually used in a helicopter... Look at it, it says "bud" on the engine, with a list of championship titles listed. Last I checked bud doesn't sponsor helicopter racing. Also, as far as I know helicoptors dont use 16" propellors. But whatever. You're right and I'm a stupid guy who does not know how to read. Thanks for the insult bud.

You're right. They never actually use that engine in helicopters, it's all a big trick. Tool.

Its ORIGINAL PURPOSE is for the use in helicopters. Thus, they have no wheels, thus the power doesn't go to the wheels like that other guy said.

Even if it's being used in a boat in THIS PARTICULAR CASE (the majority of the time, THEY ARE NOT), they still don't have wheels, so they guy still was wrong, and my point still was correct.

******* rediculous.
