piping "bolts" right on... you will have to cut out the little air dam "pockets" those two black things on both sides of the grill

you should still have to modify the Cwestin front bumper on the sides

Ah, so this is where that email came from.

I've got the F-max kit with the JDM front & C-west body kit. The intercooler piping is meant for the USDM radiator support, which is doesn't come down as low or as far out. Therefore, it won't fit. I had to cut, add and weld back together my stuff to make it fit. I also had to remove my tow hooks.

I did not have to modify the sides of my bumper, but I did have to modify the middle hole in the front bumper. The middle hole's bottom part comes all the way back to the radiator, and obviously an IC won't fit behind it. You will have to trim out that piece a bit.

Any other questions?

I have a JDM and a DRAG III for over a year now.. You have to cut out the middle and the sides are up to you.. You don't have to cut it, buit it looks better... I hit a deer last week, so I need to replace the headlights hood and bumper.. Who ever it was who had the C-Westin kit, can you email me privately (integrated96@aol.com) as to where you got it and how much it cost. I've only seen the pics and it looks good.. thanks..

I have a 98 Type R w/ the JDM conversion and full Cwest kit. Im buying the DRAG III kit for my car. Reverend, what exactly did you have to cut and put back together to make the intercooler piping fit? Ive already cut out the bottom piece of the front bumper. Thanks for the help...

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, I don't know about Drag kits, but I seriously doubt that they are that much different than any other intercooler piping kit for an aftermarket turbo.

Where the pipe bends to wrap around the radiator support it had to be extended on either side by just a few inches.

That was the only major mod neccessary. I've actually heard about some people having to shave a part of their block just to get the turbo to fit on there, but that's just hearsay.

TurboR616: nobody asked about the drag piping either.

i believe that the thread states and i quote "Drag III intercooler piping" just my .02 cents - i just say it again - on the drag kit you dont have to modify the pipes at all...just your bumper...
