JAckson Supercharged GSR Trying to Switch to chrome... HELP!!!!
I have a 97 integra GSR, it is jackson racing supercharged, and for the last year it has been on fmu tuning, and the jackson racing boost retard controler and vtec controler(aka the mysterious black box). Anyway i recently bought RC 440 injectors(used, but pulled out of my friends car working), a j-k tuning zif chipped P06(Vtec) that is supposed to have a basemap for my setup until i get the car tuned, and obviousy conversion harness. Well yesterday i installed the injectors, i cut the harnesses put obd-1 injector clips and tested there is no leaks, keep in mind all of the jackson electronics and fmu are still installed, i went to start the car on the P06 and teh car wouldnt strart, even after about 10 minutes of cranking every once in a while, so i put the stock P72 ecu back on and crnaked and held down the gas for one crank and it fired up with a loud spurt of exhaust and white smoke came out the back, i shut the car off, and it hasnt started since on either ecus. It will crank and try to turn but it wont start, so i got a hold of my tuner and he said i need to take all of the jackson stuff off the car(fmu, controllers) adn then the car will run with the fmu and chipped ecu, well i just took the fmu off and it still wont start, do you think if i take all the controllers of the car will then start???? cause i dont want to pull that off adn then have nothing no way to run the car if that deosnt work.... you think it could be a bad Basemap? the ecu doenst throw any codes... please any help would be great, i have to decide today if i should pull the electronics off
You have flooded it. Pull the plugs and let them dry and go over them with a wire brush. Once you get it running put fresh plugs in. Also if your running chrome and 440's and your 100% the map you have is correct for your setup, pull all the JR stuff off. The fmu, timing retard, all that crap. Should start up fine.
I'd just pull the plugs and clean them and make sure they are dry and try it again before you buy new plugs or you'll just end up ruining them if the problem isn't fixed. Once it's running alright use the NGK BKR7E plugs which are two steps colder, NGK part number is 6097. Gap them to .30 for your setup and they should work alot better.
thanks matt all that worked the car is running off teh ecu, but it is REALLY rich, and cant rev past 5500, hmmm??? basemap?

keep in mind your map sensor wont see any boost is you dont give it a reading after the charger. the factory spot on the TB wont work because it will never see past atmospheric pressure
IAT will probably need to be rewired also
