Default jackson racing supercharger problem

has anyone had there supercharger to lockup on them? i snapped the alternator belt and replaced it and then the supercharger belt snapped and i replaced it also. now the car makes a loud grinding noise and the belt is burning when i start the car. i checked the clearance but they look fine i dont think the supercharger is spinning. is it susposed to spin freely when the car is off or have some kind of play? its not spinning by hand at all.

pretty sure they are supposed to spin easily

did you take the belt off when you tried to spin it by hand?

yeah i took the belt off and tried to spin it, with just the alternator belt on it runs fine at idle but really sluggish with the supercharger belt off.

it will run sluggish without the supercharger spinning because your choking the air from the engine. I believe the rotors are teflan coated and can wear out. how's your oil look? if something got lokked up i'm sure there are shaveings in your oil. Try to backspin the supercharger and see if that helps. how many miles on it?

i'm just throwing ideas out not a pro by any means

i just called a friend that i bought it from and he said to zip tie the supercharger open and it should run na until i can have someone look at it. the supercharger wont move at all. the oil is fine no shaving or anything. the i bought i from bought it used and had it rebuilt so i have no idea he put less than 5k miles on the car since he had it he bought it basicly stock

blower snout bearing could be bad, rotors could be touching and or secerely worn, something could have locked up the blower, as for instance mine locked up cause a piece of valve was caught in it!

He probably meant the bypass valve.

yeah i was talking about the bypass. but i finally found the problem its the rotors/fins theres a bolt that someone didnt tighten down stuck in there. so it needs to be rebuilt. anyone know how much it cost to be rebuilt?
