Everyone is probably going to tell you to still go turbo and also for you to use the search button. My advice is to use the Search button and enter JRSC "JAckson Racing Supercharger". I thought about doing the Supercharger however the price is not worth it... You pay the same for a Greddy basic Turbo setup. Go for the JRSC if you can buy one used for 1500 or below. Otherwise it makes more sense to go for a GReddy if you want just a basic setup and not a LOT of boost. Good Luck..

I had my jrsc and ran lean and well you dont' wanna know. Its kool though and its instant boost but if you go with an upgraded pulley make sure you meet the fuel requirements and I recoommend you get that black box from JR that control your fuel. How much you looking to spend on a jrsc? Imma put mine up on ebay soon.

Great price on that charger! I would have to agree on the reply. I have a JRSC and bought the kit for 2650.00 new through club Honda a while ago. Since they raised the price I would not go the JR route but go with a great kit like the Greddy. Good luck!

Getting any sort of real power from one requires a standalone. Once they're working right though, they're a bunch of fun.

Daily driven ITR at 10 psi with only RC 440's and Hondata. This setup is making a honest heat soaked 231hp and 161tq. With a better header i think 240-250hp is within reach...my comptech is just choking off any more power.

If you go jrsc go ahead and get the boost upgrade pulley. You'll want it within a few months. Also be sure to get all the extras to make it run properly and gets all the fuel it needs. (BTC, MAP controller, high-pressure fuel pump) They are a little pricey, but I love mine.

If you plan on going over 10 psi then go turbo.

I think you've got some more power there too. I hit 210 on 5.5 psi fully heat soaked with pretty much the same mods except I'm running a AEM EMS instead of the Hondata.

It's a great system.
imho it's better than a turbo for a daily driven car, or autoX enthusiast.

I hit some awesome numbers last season. With the new rods, pistons (higher CR) and the addition of a chiller, 11's aren't too far away.

How much boost and what compression are you running?

I like the drivability of the JRSC, it's sweet. I just haven't made decent power with it till now and I haven't ran it at the strip since tuning it either. It feels faster now though, and even untuned and making 170ish whp it took a full second off my 1/4 time so I'm curious to see what it'll run.

I think if you go with the JRSC you really don't want to upgrade it what so ever.. Then your getting into exactly what you were trying to avoid with the Turbo. The whole reason for going with the Supercharger is for the instant power without upgrading a lot. You can do this with the Turbo as well, just get the Greddy bolt it on and don't boost more than 6psi and your set. It spools really quick, this is just my 2 cents. I think he's looking for power without upgrading stuff like injectors, fuel pump, Hondata, Major Tuning.
