its upgrade time!
i had some private runs with my race crew last night. i raced my friend with a b16a swap in his civic with body kit and 17s. he just installed a NX 50 shot the other day. off the line, he got a good launch with his 2step rev limiter. after that, he pretty much hung with me. im boostin 5lbs on my b18b. lately, my races have been too close. i usually spank their *** but im havin trouble maintainin these days. is it me.. or are cars around me just gettin faster?
one things for sure... ever since i got these stock rims with michelin tires... ive been havin crappy *** traction in first and second gear. im gettin new tires in a week so im not trippen.
i have the basic setup:
-stock internals
-2.5 exhaust
-DRAG3 kit
-ACT HD 6 puck
-Weapon*R coilovers
besides a Quaife LSD and Z10 traction bars... what upgrades do you recommend to get the most performance?
i was thinkin about gettin some KYB AGXs and a MSD unit. any mods youve added to your boosted teg to give you performance that works?

I just up graded my stock injectors to RC 310cc and i installed an 8:1 disk in my FMU (B18B Drag III). Now i am boosting 7 psi at low and 9 psi high boost with my profec B. Maybe you can try upgrading your injectors. Fuel pressure is still high but not as high as "stock" set up...ie., 12:1 with stock injectors.

Save some money. That's what I've been doing. Getting whooped on my various cars or cutting it close in races just motivates you to save more. I like to think, "just wait until I get my Hondata!"

I think the cheapest way would be to get some more fuel and turn up the boost.
..and remember, upgrade for yourself, not just to beat somebody in a faster car. There will always be someone faster.

i know theres always gonna be someone faster than me. for now... i just wanna eliminate as many slower people that i can.
