Default its decided, im using oval piping on my down pipe and b-pipe

its decided, im using oval piping on my down pipe and b-pipe, with that said id just like to know from the people who have done it: is there anything i need to know first?

im going to go round 3" v-band off the turbine housing then round to oval adapter to oval from under the oil pan all the way to the end of the b-pipe (just past the shifter/linkage). does anybody make oval flanges?

im doing this cause my car is pretty low and i dont want to risk crushing my DP/exhuast, i know i can just raise the car but 96 hatches look 4x4 unless there slammed.

i know burns makes some but i found a few other places too like

http://www.drgas.com/store/pro...age=1
and
http://www.boyceindustries.com....html

seems to be a lot cheaper here (i know its not stainless), anybody know of anyother places or can vouch for the quality of any non-burns oval tubing?

here is the basic set up:
-96 civic hatch
-b16b motor
-meutek mani
-t3/to4e BB turbo 57trim .63 hot side with KMS-FAB 5-bolt to v-band 2.5-3" adapter
-3" exhuast.

not sure if this should be in welding/fab mod feel free to move this.

3 inch normal piping fits fine w/o being too low. my old coupe was slammed w/a thermal 3inch and never had a problem. hell even my buddys ek had a 3.5 inch exh and he never scraped.

was the exhaust custom? thermal does not make a kit for my car.

i only had 450 bucks in material for my 4in aluminum exhaust, how the hell are you going to have 1000 bucks for mild steel?

my car has 3in ground clearance on the front bumper and has a 4in aluminum exhaust with no rubbing issues.

lol have you ever priced oval piping? its like ~$60 a foot for 3" pipe for straight and for a 90* bend is like ~50 a piece not to mention the round to oval transition

mine was round, but aluminum tends to be a bit higher than mild steel.

The 180 bends I bought for my exhaust were 115 a pop, with two of those and 5ft of straight costing 80 bucks. then a 4in v-band was just over 100 bucks.

oval piping cost more than round regardless of what its made out of. any ways i guess this answers your question.
