Default itr cam question

Yo I picked up some ITR cams the other night for super cheap I got home and looked at them in the light and It looks like one cam is a 95-00 jdm itr cam and the other one is a 98-00 ctr cam does it matter if there ctr or itr cams?? is this going to affect anything with adjusting valves or boosting? there going in a LSV with a b16 head. Thanks for your time.

No it shouldn't matter. The newer ITR cams are pretty much exactly the the same as the CTR cams. I know that there is a little difference between the newer and older ITR cams though. But really its not enough to make a big enough difference in performance.

I know, I use the cam gears BLOX, but wanted to know some setup, right? example.

I'm using:
-2 In the exhaust and intake at 0, wanted to know what best for my setup with B16A Turbo ITR CAMS ... I created a topic, but I depend on the approval of moderation for publishing the topic.

Thank you.

You would have to put it on the dyno to check for gains at different settings. For the most part people tend to use stock gears with oem cams, and adjustable gears with aftermarket cams. Because in most cases oem cams perform best at 0.

Ya most people use the stock cam gears or leave the adjustable ones at zero. You should let your tuner worry about all of the timing adjustments because he's gonna know whats best for your setup. I've heard that if you retard the timing a little bit, idk how much to be exact, but it increases hp a little bit because honda advances it for emissions purposes? I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard from friends.
