issues w/MSD boost timing master

I had to recently RPL my MSD boost timing master, because it kept shorting out my ignition coil on my turbo 99 civic si. My installer said it could be defective. Just want to know if anyone else had issues with the MSD. My MSD should be coming in soon. Should I keep it??

about 4 years ago, and that was only becouse i hooked it up wrong. check your installation.

I just installed my BTM 4 days ago.

I've been having an MSD 6AL for a couple years and since adding the BTM i have had no problems.

How did you hook it up? BTW, my car is a 00 civic si.
