Default Issues with a bit of compressor surge (greddy type s)

heres a problem i have...
when boosting lower levels 1-2 psi and not really getting into the car at all.. just normal acceleration really theres a slight compressor surge and then the bov will hit......

now i really cant tell if its happening at full boost when im driving it hard because the dp is too loud lol...

im only running the spring on my tial which is at 7.2 psi

ive tried to adjust the bov.. its on the softest setting the screw can go without really falling out.....

ive also ran the bottom port on the BOV to the nipple on the TB bc i heard that helps the response of the blowoff valve

nothing helps... i dont really wanna keep driving like this

the blowoffvalve worked fine on the setup when it was on my friends car... but he was boosting at like 11psi.... im sure the greddy should function properly on 7psi....

ahh setup time

The Greddy BOV is available with a "standard" and a "stiff" spring. Maybe you got the stiff one.

dont connect the bottom to any line anywhere. that tube is not used for boost or vacuum. its used as like a neutral to balance the pressure inside the BOV. i read this somewhere else, not sure if i said it right, but you get the pic, dont connect the bottom line.

No the proper way to set it is to connect the lower nipple to a boost source. But leaving ti open works just as good. I like it betetr not connecting as it sounds better lol....

Try only if you really want to.. I read from a few guys on here that they had the same problem and they oepned up the BOV to find TWO sprigns inside. one stiff and one soft. they took out the stiff one and elft the soft one in and now it works flawlessly. pobviously they ahd to tighten it some more but it worked for them.

BTW, I'm ahving the same problems as you and I'll be opennig up my BOV when I get my car back from the bodyshop.
