Interesting solution to intercooler piping slippage
we had a car that had this chronic problem. A friend of mine happened to be there during this. He suggested spraying hair spray on it. Not only does it lubricate the silicon coupling to make sliding it on easier, but once it drys, it acts like glue to help hold it in place. I think AquaNet would be the best, as that **** is like spray glue and cheap as hell too. Thought I'd pass this on to you guys - anyone tried it?

actually i used to do that with the grips on my mountian bike, when it can time to change the grips you had to cut them off with a razor blade. on the ends of my intercooler pipes we bent the lip outward with a set of channel locks so it looked like a little funnel,so far so good, you might want to try that to,its cheaper than hairspray
yes, but some people still have that problem, even with bead welding, T bolt clamps, and flared ends. Not to mention, flared ends will disturb airflow, and the added width will distort the couplings. Just thought I'd bounce it off you guys, as I've never heard this before.
Would it work the same with heat coated IC pipes you think, as for rubber grips on a chrome handle bar hair spray was the shizzit, worked very well. If anyone tries this this please post your results.
