Default intercooler size vs. HP rating....is there a calculation??

ok the faq addresses piping diameter but nothing about intercooler size.

i need an intercooler that is:
- capable of supporting 350whp
- bar & plate
- 2.5" id & od
- 28" or less total length
- 3" or less total width

question is, how tall will this intercooler need to be?

some sellers list the max hp rating, others don't, and i want the smallest i can get away with.
i have some piping, my hp goal, and my length/width constraints as defined by the 4th gen civic front end.

i guess i'd also like to know if you can multiply the dimensions of an IC and get some kind of meaningful value, as it relates to horsepower or flow goals.....this will help me when shopping for generic ****

thanks

I don't have any answeres for you except you might want to check out yonaka intercoolers, I have been looking into them and they seem right aboutt he size you and I are looking for.

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.co...olers

They have one intercooler that is for around 300whp I believe, but I'm gonna use it for up to 400whp.

I had a 30X8X3 on my last 400whp build and it seemed like overkill to me.

you would also have to factor in efficiency of the intercooler
