Intercooler Install help. Where do I mount it?
I couldn't figure out where to mount it. I'll have to drill new holes in the bump support because it doesn't line up with stock hole. Also the mounting brackets are JB welded to the intercooler, is this okay?
Do I mount it on top of the bumper suport or on the bottom? That damn line is in the way on the bottom if I mount it far back.
Stupid Line.

You've been hanging out in this forum long enough to figure this one out.
Bend the AC Line out of the way.
Mount the intercooler UNDER the bumper support. As far back to the radiator support as possible.
It will look like this when done.

i would either take them off and bend them into a L-bracket and secure it directly below the support and bolt the bracket to the front of the support or rotate the brackets as they are 90 degrees and secure it directly below the support and bolt the bracket on the bottom of the support. either way you will need to drill new holes and thread/tap them.

Re: (scttydb411)
I tried heating the metal with a propane torch and bending it to an L bracket. Didn't wanna move at all. Kinda burned the JB weld too. hehe
JB weld seems very strong. So I think it should hold. I pryed pretty hard on them, i dunno how I'd get them off even man.

were you using brand new JB weld? that was the problem i had. i used some stuff that had been opened on my starion ic and it fell and just shattered, used brand new stuff and it held up great, really sturdy.
