sorry for all the questions but has any one every used a volvo fmic on the d-series setups? It seems like its a pretty big one but I was just wondering.

It would be bigger than the entire frontal area of your car. Come on now. There are troubles using 8" tall intercoolers, what makes you think you could use a 25" tall intercooler?
