intake temperature sensor
do you really need that thing on top of the intake temperature sensor? mine keeps blowing of cause of too much pressure
Please specify what thing ? If not sure.. just duct tape it
it works wonders all the time.
Yeah that's the sucker that gives the GReddy Blue Box people CEL 13 with the Baro Temp Sensor. I guess the intake temp gets to hot or something.

My buddy has a civic dx with LS engine drop and has a custom turbo setup. He gets code 5 which is intake air temp. The sensor is on there tight but he still gets the code. The car runs fine but he wants to get the the check engine light off. He's not running the greddy box, he has the check valve setup. The only thing I can think of is a bad sensor. He has a 98 LS engine with obd 1 wiring harness and ecu.
ok first off the Map Sensor is what throws code 13 Barometric code not the IAT.
As for your IAT, what setup do you have right now? I assume you are running boost. What circle thing are you talking about? On a greddy kit the IAT is relocated to just after the filter on the intake side of the turbo. People relocate it to the charge pipe to get rid of code 45 usually, cause the IAT will read actually air temperatures after the intercooler so it gets a better reading. Another option is to get an ITR manifold and ITR IAT sensor. This would be ideal for relocation of IAT and you wouldn't have to worry bout the pressure popping it out of place.

Acutally that sensor is inside the OBD2 ECU, not from the MAP. GReddy knows about this problem and they think its a production error where those particular units were made. Some people have luck others don't, thank god I got my Hondata 2B on its way here.
man obd2 sucks, im glad i dont have to worry about it. the only time i throw a code for the intake air temp. is when i take the sensor off the manifold.
