why is it hack? Thats the way aem makes their intakes..so the iat just pushes into a hole with that grommet. Trust me there is no way it would blow out of mine..i have to use excessive force just to get it out of there. </TD></TR></TABLE>
because many people have problems with it poping out, I guess it depends on how much boost your running... I think if it's not overly secure especially on something that gets pressurized, then I call it hack... thats just me.

Its okay to keep it at whatever the stock spot is though correct? I have A CAI and will be moving it back to the stock location when I boost.</TD></TR></TABLE>
the only thing is on the 2k si anyway is that the stock location is on the stock air intake, so when you have a turbo setup you loose the stock location. but you still have a blank spot on the IM for the sensor I posted a pic of

thats why you tune to compensate. Why would you want it taking a false reading?

You can do it the easy way like I did and buy an ITR manifold. The IAT sensor that turbosi03 showed is what will fit. Or, if you look at your stock manifold, there is a flat spot where the sensor is supposed to go. It's shaped just like the sensor in the pic. Just drill and tap the stock manifold, and since you'll have the manifold off anyway, replace the stock manifold gasket with a Hondata.
Take a look at the CRV IAT. It's screws into the intake manifold instead of being held in my two screws. I welded a bung in my charge pipe just before the throttle body. Simple and it works perfect.
I´´m having the same problem. My buddy in Brazil has a 98 civic with a b16a2, he put in a jg edelbrock i/m and it had the port/opening for the sensor with the 2 screws. But his stock sensor just plugs into the intake tube. He plug the port on the i/m with a plate and is using the stock one on the intake tube. Will the sensor that has the 2 bolt holes plug in or do i need to send him another plug with the sensor? Thanks
