Default Which Intake Manifold?

Which manifold do you guys suggest for boosted cars? like 400+whp? I was thinking either JG or Skunk2. What do you suggest?

Any help will be appreciated, other comments are welcome as well as suggestions! I am open to ideas and thoughts!

well, if you want to be a BIG BALLER, RLZ might be making manifolds soon....

give it a while, see what happens....they'll be worth the wait if Brad can get the time to design one

RLZ is http://www.hondaraceengines.com

the BEST HEAD WORK MONEY CAN BUY!

Brad hasn't made but a few manis for their cars...but i'm sure he would pop one out for some money. He's mentioned making them regularly before...he just hasn't done it yet.

The diffence b/t a Victor X and a Skunk2 is really only seen about 8k RPM. Honeslty a skunk2 will work just fine and will be easier to get everything hooked back up too. IE fuel rail, IAC,sensors, ect. Last I'd head the Victor X/JG edlebrock's didn't have much in the way of accomidating the factory stuffs....I may be wrong tho.

for boosted applications....the larger plenum of the Victor X is better.

skunk2 is nice....but it's not the best for boost.

I appreciate all of the help so far fellas and I was curious if you could get me a price on that RLZ mani i may be interetsed. And i am not worried about accomodating stock fuel rail etc...I am building the car up so not much will be left stock except the body of the car . lol

motormatrix made i think 550 something on a ITR. if you have the room and want to rev over 8k then the edelbrock would be better. but the ITR works just fine.

the JG monicure was dropped by Edelbrock...basically cause the don't need JG to make money, and they found that out.

really like what? I am not too familiar with intake mani designs but this was pretty convincing.

"20.7 more average hp between 3k and 8k"

ahhhhhhhhhhhh, my avatar......noooooo
it took me forever to find it in the Saab Manuals

and the AEBS...WILL NOT MAKE THAT MUCH MORE POWER. NEVER EVER EVER listen to the gains the company claims.

but, the inside needs to be smoothed some. The area where the vac lines are is really sloppy. ACtually...other than that...its a great deal

We either use the Victor X or STR... That's on the more built turbo motors tho... Otherwise SK2 works okay... Peace
