dont go bigger just get some aftermarket valves like stainless steel or titanium they got some other stuff out there but keep your goals realistic on dont go overboard.

how big a turbo, how much psi, is this goin tobe an all out build or a daily driver bcuz you could get away with stock internals or just change out the valves now cuz u can always do the rest of the valve train later if u wanna play harder

i would just get the head/block cleaned and checked for cracks and level at the machine shop and lap the valves and upgrade the valve springs the most

and maybe some better rods (scat or eagle) with the stock pistons

then put everything 2gether 2 specs

Well... honestly I think you are asking for a big disappointment in messing with that engine. Swap in a D16Z6 and play with that. Its just a better overall platform and you will get much nicer results from your time/money. The D15B head isn't going to benefit much from larger valves. Its very costly to put larger valves in these engines. Not like a Chevy or Ford engine at least. The single cam heads flow like crap compared to say a DOHC head. Porting and polishing will help considerably so long as its done correctly. That with a good cam and a set of aftermarket springs/retainers would be a better place to start. Again though, your working with a pretty poor platform... Doesn't mean you can't make power with it, im just trying to say there is a much better way to invest your money and time and you will be happier in the end.

it seem like he has the 1.5 and wanna see what it can do first b4 swapping out i dont see the hurt in that as long as he doesn't put 2much money into or useless parts into that setup

for that setup i would stay relatively stock. and if he really wanna upgrade a specific part i would only upgrade the valves, then give the engine a complete overhaul to make sure things are in spec and theres no crud in the engine and to have a clean slate to start from port it if u want turbo it then move on to another setup this way u wont have regrets about that engine bcuz u will now have the knowledge and experience about that engine.
