i have a supra tt fuel pump which i am going to install on my civic but the supra fuel pump doesnt have thge same type of electrical connection as my honda pump, the honda pump has a push on connector on the pump but the supra one has ring connector type connectors with no insulation on them??? is this safe?? do i just chop off the honda connector and crimp ring coneectors onto the wire to facilitate fitting of the pump??

I h=just thoght that surely there should be some type of cover on the connectors ??
