Default installing a spec stgIII?

I just bought a spec stage 3 clutch (sprung hub, 6 puck, rated @ 360 for torque) for my boosted f22 and am getting ready to do an install.

3 quick questions... I appreciate anyone who takesa second to reply... THANKS.

1. opinions on these clutches in here?
2. would you do it yourself or did you?
3. should I resurface the flywheel?

edit: and happy new year to all... who's got a hangover.

as for questions 1 and 2, thats personal preference. i would say if you have done a clutch before to go for it.

as question 3 i would say do it. ESPECIALLY if you have any kinda of hot spots.

1. opinions on these clutches in here? I know people on audiworld and vortex had some serious issues with the spec clutches. They went bad shortly after install like less then 3k miles. You may want to search around on those two sites to see what all was said. I think there is a big lawsuit against spec.
2. would you do it yourself or did you?
I would do it myself but that is really up to you and if you feel confortable.

3. should I resurface the flywheel? I would

i used the spec stage 4 from enjuku performance, i installed it myself, used a new ITR flywheel, and broke it in like they said 750 MILES!!!!!! damn.

and the first time i sprayed a 50 shot on it, at approximatley 1000 miles, it slipped and spun the clutch. i pulled it sent it back, and asked for my money back.

it sucked, and it was the same price as my current ACT clutch

look into clutch master, clutchnet, or ACT

Well sh*t... I get to be a test dummy it looks like since no one seems to know much but bad things (searching here and other places a friend previously was not quite left with that impression and it got back to my parents who ordered it as a christmas present)... oh well.

None the less I know it is a pain to find any clutches, my application and power needs dont help.

edit: with it being the new year and just christmas... yeah it will is gonna take a few to think about clutches for my toy... I will be having to look into driving this clutch easy instead I think.
