innovative boost controller
Just like to get some opinions on the innovative boost controller. Things like consistency and accuracy. Already got one but just wondering if there may be a draw back to this controller.
mine worked ok, i had it set to my clutch switch, but since i dont fully depress or release the clutch sometimes it would get hung up.
s300now. but it isnt a bad piece.

..the innovative controller is nice.you could run into some problems like Mikey said. you would be better off with the NLR ams1000 unit.
.....but, the S300's boost by gear
I have it, i hate it and love it... I hate it becasue i have to make sure its on step one after doing a burnout and staging, so sometimes i take longer to stage, becasue i putting it back to 1..
other then that i love it!!!

Thats why I dont love it. I think a boost controller that can control boost over speed and gear would be perfect. Example: The boost controller knows what gear you're in using a MPH input without setting it manually or relying on a clutch switch to switch gear . Maybe there are already some fuel managements that can control boost that can already do this.
If I had the funds...I would buy better equipment. I'm just trying to make the best of old equipment.

i think its good. it does have a time base you know. i have a button on the shifter that is hooked up to a line lock ,2 step and boost controller. let go of the button at the line and it starts counting. launch mode at the line you let go of the button anf it starts counting. cant get any eaiser

Time based is no good....tried it already, dont like it!

What if you miss a shift...your time base would be off or your gear setting would be in the wrong gear. Over speed...the boost controller woundn't do anything until you reach that speed regardless of time and what ever gear your in.
dont miss a shift
there is a lot more adjustability using time based.not saying gear based doesnt work (i like s300 boost control) but you can do more with time based. especially when using increase and decrease scramble like the ams-1000 has

I've had better results with gear based. I'm retiring the car next year, so I dont have to worry about it anymore
. It's getting to expensive to compete now.
