inline pro vs tempest racing
this is more or less for the maryland crowd, but im getting my car tuned in about 2 weeks and im torn where to take it. inline or tempest. at inline pro they said a tuning session takes 2 sessions at 225 an hour, so 450. tempest racing said they could probably get it done in 1 hour for 150 an hour. whihc is more reputable. i talked to the tuners themselves and they both seem very knowledgeable about the tuning. give me some opinions people. thanks!!
Joe at Tempets is one HELL of a guy.
Only car I've seen that he's tuned was his race car. Thing was insanely fast.
He's definately a great guy and won't bullshit you. If you have any questions I'd reccomend calling him or PMing him. His shop number is 301-638-3000 and his HT is turbo-charged.
Joe definately has a customer for life (or as long as I'm in the Honda world.)

definately will do. i think im leaning more towards tempest. charges less and says just one hour. Either way, i cant go wrong right.
I just cant beleive this is all coming together now. A good year and a half buying peice by peice. i wihs i got a ****** kit. but i know im doing it all right. just put on the clutch, once its done with the break in, everything is going on the car and tuned the next day. i see the light!

I recommend Jason Hunt as well had my all motor car tuned there and he did a great job nice guy doesnt BS and actually cares about the car hes tuning wanting to make the best power possible. Ulimate VA
ive heard good things about jason hunt. actually, i met him when the saturn racing team came to lincoln tech in columbia md. seems like he knows what hes talking about. jeff evans is way too far and way to expensive. the reason why its between tempest and inline pro is also because of the distance from my house. being i have to drive there with a basemap, i wanna do as little driving as possible. im leaning towards tempest right now
im think ima go with tempest. i sple with joe. seemed to knwo whats goin on. now i just gotta complete this setup withthe boost controller, and everything is going on once i get it.
I have used both shops before however Tempest more recently on my TL. Joe did a wonderful job doing a custom turbo kit on my TL and tuning it.

about how long did he take and how much did he charge you? is there anything i can do before hand o make the session last an hour or less?
yea thats what joe was saying today. he said just make sure everyhting is wokring right, nothing is leaking and so forth so we can make it a quick session. he seemed confident in getting me 300whp in my gsr
If you're concerned about price, then Ultimate won't be any cheaper....
I would recommend Inline...You get what you pay for along with excellent track support... Just remember its not going to end at the tune...

set up is rev hard manifold, garrett t3/t4 57 trim, precision 350hp intercooler, tial 35mm wastegate, blitzDD bov, 450cc dsm injectors, hondata s200b. thats basiclly the heart of the thing. i got alot of extra **** liek a vacuum manifold, slim fan , etc. and well i am kinda concerend with the price. money doesent grow on trees you know. inline wants ot make it 2 sessions. while tempest says he can do it within the hour as long as eveything works and nothing is fucked up. then also its 225 an hour at inline pro, and 150 an hour at tempest. so were talking 450 compared to 150. now its not just the money, thats why i made this post, to see if tempest was any good. i will definately pay more for quality, but if i can get quality cheaper, why the fudge not.
maybe you should think about the way you spend your budget, dont cheap out on the most important part of your investment. Whats a 150/hour? good rate if you ask me- pretty much unheard of in dc metro area, just go with tempest and dont get disappointed if it takes longer. Remember it takes about 20-25 just to strap her down, wideband, ind pickup etc. + other **** that could go wrong that may require some time to diagnose the problem-no car is perfect. Before you go in make sure you have a new set or two of the right plugs, have the right fuel, your fuel and ignition system is working properly, and no engine codes. good luck
