Default Inline fuel pump installation question. (UPDATED. HeLP!)

Ok.. More turbo installation questions:

For the inline fuel pump :

1) The instructions say to tap into the wire 4 in the main fuel pump relay in
the passenger side under-dash area.
a. Is there somewhere in the engine compartment that would be easier
b. What is the easiest way to tap into the line? Wouldn't the voltage drop
if I tapped into it?

Thanks for any insight..

It sounds right to me... I didn't Tap from the fuel pump relay.. I use a bosch relay ..(any 12v automobile relay.. square size) and I tap fom the ignition wire to get a signal to turn the relay on. ground one wire to the chassis ..one wire goes to the fuel pump..and one wire goes to the live +12v (I tap from the No.8 wire on the Engine fuse box) i hope this should help... I din't have any picture or diagram of a relay ...if you find one .. I'll help you determine which is which...good luck

So pretty much, the pump is on only when your iginition is hot.... so do you think
you don't need to let the fuel system pressurize first? (Or would the stock pump
pressurizing the system be good enough?... in this case, would it only pressurize the fuel line between the stock pump, and the inline pump.. resulting in no pressure
on the fuel rail until you started the car?)

I'm going to go take some pictures, and please tell me how to hook this up!!!

Ok.. Where do I tap for the +12v? relay?. I went to Radio shack, and they
had automotive 12V relays, but they are all pin connectors.. do I just soldier
leads to them? or are they the wrong relays?

HELP!

actually you wouldn't lose voltage if you tapped into a line you would theoretically only lose current. since the voltage at the point is whatever voltage you tap into say 12v and each wire has a seperate groung then each wire has 12v across it. now as for current you can only have as much current going out as you have coming in. that is where the problem is. but ususally you should be okay.

I tapped into the main relay under the dash. It worked perfect. If you just run it off the ignition the inline pump will be running constantly while the car is turned to 'on' but is not running. If you use the main relay, it turns on for a couple secs and then turns off since there is no reason to keep the pump running if the car is off.
