Default Injectors

Anyone using Denso purple top 550cc injectors from a RX7? (195500 2020)
I will be running them on my b16a2 (obd1)
Are they any good? Anyone running them?
As I'm obd1, my motor doesn't use a resistor box. Will I need one with these injectors?

Thanks for the info guys.

If they're saturated injectors they don't need a resistor box if they're peak and hold they do.

Saturated equals 10-14 ohm solenoid..
Peak and hold equals 1-4 ohm solenoid.

Also just for future info running a resistor box isn't the proper way to run peak and hold injectors an injector driver is needed..
Stock honda ecu's run saturated injectors off 1.5 amps of current.
Peak and hold injectors need 4.0 amps of current..
The injector driver takes the 1.5 and brings it up to 4.0.

So if a person puts Peak injectors on a Honda ECU with a resistor box supplying the injectors with only 1.5 amps of current and they require 4 amps of current to work how do they work? I've seen it done on the forum many a times. Do they just work in a diminished capacity requiring you to adjust your injector characteristics in the tune? or what's the deal?

You then adjust your Injectors to the tune itself. The ohms resist stance I believe controls simply the voltage the lintel operates from. So you can use any peak/hold injector with a Honda resistor box

Peak and hold injectors are usually used for high flow demands.

Peak and hold... 4.0 amps to open the injector (peak).... And 1.5 amps to hold it open.(hold)

They work okay with out an injector driver but at high duty rates.. under lower duty rates (idle part throttle etc.) The pintle in the injector has more mass than a saturated injector so it doesn't fully open and the spray pattern suffers from this. Also idle quality suffers and pin pointing a solid 14.7 a/f ratio is very hard to do. Since the injector doesn't open fully adding more fuel prevents the motor from leaning out but makes the car run rich.. advancing your timing helps but not on cold starts.

An inector driver fixes this issue.. or buying high flow saturated injectors ev14, ID etc.
