Injector spray pattern
I'd like to see if I can find out more information on this topic. Typically most injector posts relate to size, but very rarely about spray patterns.
reading the 647hp post by Rocket.... it mentions secret to making power is (one of many factors) good injector spray pattern.
If the pintle style(straight spray) is not optimal, there has to be a reason why they are being used, right?
I understand a lot of these has to do with the atomization of fuel etc. I just wanted to get a better understanding of the pro's and con's of pintle vs ball style(I believe it's ball?).
thanks,

Re: Injector spray pattern (shingles)
Good topic, I'm curious as well since I just switched from DSM 450's (pintile) to some MSD/Siemen Deka 780's (ball).......
From what I know, something about the ball design is able to handle higher sustained duty cycles than the other designs (disc and pintile).....and has a better fuel atomization because of a wider? spray pattern.....
