Default injector question... why some have a funky tip?

I am talking about factory injectors I see in the 5th gen accord, as opposed to the 4th gen prelude. other honda models are similar I am sure.

anyways I was looking at them side by side and the accord injector has a funky plastic tip with another oring on it?!? anyone identify the purpose of this or what the deal is with that.

obviously my dsms dont have anything like that but they work fine... should it have a tip like that to keep proper sealing (I have no leaks btw).

????????? someone fill me in.

I can take a pic with the digital camera if they have not been seen much before... maybe would help figure out their purpose.
