Injector Question
Im a newbie so take it easy on me. Im running a D16Y7 w/ a Y8 Manifold. I was wondering if it would be better for boost to run the y8 (240cc) or the y7 (190cc) injectors with the stock ecu? Car is going to run a FMU with one of these sets of injectors. I've read on another site that the stock y7 computer will cause hte car to run rich with the y8 injectors. But wouldn't you rather be rich under boost than go lean and have detonation? It just seems that it would be safer to run the 240's over the 190's when it comes to boost...
Any input would help...

In all honesty man, why even other? Witha set of DSM 450's being had all day for 50 bucks, a resistor box froma junk yard, and a quick tune with Crome or other freeware, why still use an FMU? It will never give you the full potential and stands to break a lot more than it will help.
You stand an easy chance of either leaning out and going pop or getting so pig rich you wash out the rings. 10 years ago it was a neccessary (SP) evil but today, it's just not worth it.

agreed.
but if you are gonna stick with the FMU, run the injectors that match the ecu. that way it doesnt run rich out of boost.
