Default Increasing Intercooler efficiency??????

I had a custom dual backdoor intercooler made by Bell Intercoolers with a 11"x 18"x3.5" core bar and plate. I found out its efficient up to 450-500 hp. My question is , is there any way to increase the efficiency of the intercooler once that horse power range is reached and I go beyond that ?Co2 intercooler sprayer....anything? I looked at the dimensions of the pwr/full race backdoor intercooler and its good for 700+ hp and has around the same dimensions as mine. Any input or knowledge would help.
