Default im so screwed, please look

Im driving home last night, i never really get on my car, and i see my oil pressure reading almost 0, so i check it this morning, and i see the oil comming from near the oil pressure and feed line fitting so i try to see if its just loose for some reason and by barley touching it snapped off................

So the thread from that fitting is in my block.....

Has this ever happened to anyone what did you do im gonna lose my mind

You can probably use a tap and dye set to get it out.

Just drill a small hole into the thing, screw in the piece and unscrew the whole piece out.

You can probably find one at any old parts store, hell any guy who's worked with metal will have a set. No harm no foul

i swear by this set. it has left hand bits in case it is loose enough to walk out, and the extractors if it doesnt and needs some coaxing.

You most likely won't even have to drill it out, considering the fitting is already hollow. Just gentle tap an extracter in the hole and back it out.

it happened to me 2 times with a brass tee and 1 time with a steel tee from tunig toys. You can get it out with a reverse drill bit, just be extra careful. Let me tell you, I was so afraid. I just went ahead and put the stock sending unit back on and went with the golden eagle sandwich adapter. No problems ever since!

I dont use brass fittings anymore, I only use steel ones. I've never had any problem with them.

I don't hang the tee right off the block. Use a 12" section of line to a tee mounted on the firewall. That way the tee is more accessable too.

i had that happen to me when someone tried to jack my turbo setup. it really wasnt' that hard to get out. i just took some needle nose pliers, left them closed and stuck it into the hollow fitting and unscrewed it.

i lost a motor when this happened to me. i dropped 3rd on the freeway and it went up in smoke, so i pulled over and it was dripping oil. i go to touch check the feed line and the t-fitting falls off. i got the threaded piece out, but yeah, I already melted a piston =\ . now I run a sandwich adapter on the oil filter. will never run a t-fitting again.

i beg to differ. you can do that with ease in the car.

If you're going to use an extractor bit like those, make sure you use a T-handle, you can get them at Lowes....I made that mistake of not getting one and I snapped the extractor bit, took me 5 hrs to get the bolt with snapped extractor out
