Default idle change with compression?

Will the idle change when you lower the compression? I just rebuilt my gsr with je pistons 9:1 compression and a bored 20 over block. Ever since it as put back together it has been idleing funny. It kinda sounds like its camming. I do have 2001 itr cams but it didnt idle funny before the rebuild. runs fne but just sits at like 750rpm and sounds funny. Anbody know what it could be? Thanx!

Compression won't really change the way a car idles. Check you cam & ignition timing.

Ever since I put an ITR head on my B16 it has idled lumpy, then I rebuilt every thing (bored 020 over, 9:1 JEs) and it still idled lumpy. Now I bought a 00 Si and changed the head over and this car idles lumpy. I run my vavles pretty tight and figure it's just the cams??? But I don't remember my ITR idling lumpy though.
