Identifying Turbo? PICS
Ok just recieved my turbo but i don't know the exact specs of it.
So far i've made out it has these numbesr
Serial #: JBM 121826
Part #: 466159-5004
It's a T3/T04E it looks like , and has a .60 A/R turbine housing, .63 stamped on the exhaust side of it. The turbo inlet is 3" and the outlet is 2 1/2"
what size trim is it exactly? is it a .60 trim ? i hope so thanks
Jimmy

Re: (Bailhatch)
i was thinking the same, i doubt anyone would go through the time to scribe a false number into it.
To be honest, it would probably be easier to sell a 57trim than a 60.

well cracked it open , unfortunately my camera was out of battery so i couldnt take any pics. But it was a 60 trim on the compressor side, i couldnt get to the turbine wheel side. But thats interesting how the internals were swapped out? is that even possible?

Re: (vietxdragon)
So they just swapped the compressor wheel and cover most likely. It's very easy to do but, with most turbos it needs to be balanced again as an assembly. I dont see any places where weight was removed from the nut on the compressor wheel. I'm not sure if that exclusively means it has not been balanced...just pointing it out.
I would bet its just the regular 'stg 3' turbine wheel that nearly all hybrid t3/t4s sport. measure the end you can see, if you want to be 99% sure.
