Icon2 Identify this turbo & hot side options

Hello. Just picked up a turbo from a buddy and have few questions. What kind of turbo is it? Who manufactures it? What are my options for a hot side to get 300-350hp & quick spool?
The only markings are pictured:
Inside the charge opening is marked .70
Cast into the housing is A/R 70 M24
Exhaust wheel measures approx. 2-3/4" diameter

Any help to identify this turbo is appreciated! Also if you have hot side that I can mate it up with LMK. Thanks!

Looks like an 11 Blade Turbine Wheel, kind of like a P-Trim but it seems smaller from the measurements, without measuring the comp wheel there is not much we can tell you other than what you have already told us lol

Im gonna take wild guess, maybe its a 60-1 or a GT35, then again that comp wheel is around 50mm??

Thanks for guiding me a little bit. Got a hold of some digital calipers, took the compressor housing off, and got some measurements:

Compressor wheel (intake)-
Inducer: 57.7mm/2.27"
Exducer: 75.9mm/2.99"

Turbine wheel (exhaust)-
Inducer: 73.4mm/2.89"
Exducer: 63.8mm/2.51"

Here are the specs on a P-Trim Turbine....

Inducer 2.920" (74mm) Exducer 2.542" (64.5mm), I would have to say they are the same.

58mm Comp wheel.... it should make 500ish hp I would imagine... not really sure what it is, im going to guess a T4 60-1 or a little smaller, not sure what size the comp wheel is on a 60-1 but I am pretty sure its smaller than 60mm and you can get it with a p-trim turbine.

Also that looks like a Garrett Comp Housing.

Thanks! Good to know. So I should be looking for a p-trim turbine housing or is there different options? I only plan on tuning to ~350hp & would like it to spool quickly.

I would say so, the numbers arent exact but neither are dial calipers. You can get a housing for that wheel in a T3 or a T4.

Picked up a .96 turbine housing. Here's a pic-

From what this thread is saying, this setup is gonna be a slug on the street & not get full boost by 7k-
https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/anyone-running-96-r-t4-street-car-2611760/

But then there's this thread saying a t4/t67 .96 turbine won't be laggy on the street-
https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/t4-t67-96-turbine-too-big-2487111/

As of now i'm only looking to tune for ~350 hp as a daily driver. Any experience with a p-trim or similar setup with a .96 turbine housing? Should I run a smaller turbine housing such as a .61, .70, or .81? I don't want it to take days to spool up.

A T4 .58A/R is about as good as its going to get with a P-trim exhaust wheel of that diameter size.

Thx Shodan! Two closest options on atpturbo.com for the t4 p-trim are ".61 undivided" or "Alternate On Center .58 A/R Housing with round 4 bolt out".

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GTH

Is the second .58 a/r "Alternate On Center" setup the optimum turbine housing or the .61?
Not sure what alternate on center means.

Or is there a better place to find a T4 .58A/R turbine housing?

You've found it. The "On center" housing puts the turbine in a different spot. Most people on this forum are use to the "tangential" housings.

So then which is better? The "on center" or the "tangential"?

There's no better. its about what fits. if you had a Tangential before, just use one again.

you can find a tangential .58 t4... look on ebay, atpturbo isnt the end all be all of turbo stuff.

not to mention, on a b16 that thing is going to be incredibly lazy

At what rpm do you think this set up will hit 350whp?

No one can really answer that one. that's a boost/rpm curve question

I don't know how this reply got to this thread. The exhaust question was directed towards your Project Ghost thread.

Probably because mobile version of this forum sucks and if you scroll down beyond the last post of the thread you are viewing it jumps to some random *** old thread with really no indication.
