Default Identify this log mani

Hi Guys,

I don't often post on this forum but tend to visit it every now and again when I carry out my research.

I've had this manifold for a good for years now and I've always wondered what make it was. Initially I thought it was P-Fab and then Go-Autoworks but now I'm not sure.

SO I would like your help identifying it. I know that it was imported from the USA to my country about 7 years ago or more, so it's pretty old. You don't see many new variations with this particular WG placement nowadays.

I'M JUST LOOKING FOR HELP IF YOU CAN PROVIDE IT. I LOOK TO POSSIBLE SELL THIS SOON SO I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD KEEP ANY CRITICISM TO YOURSELF OR PM, AS I DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE MY CHANCES OF SELLING IT FOR WHAT IT'S COSTING ME WHICH IS QUITE A BIT.

Thanks

I was going to say spoolin performance but those welds look gross and I doubt they would do that

The welds at the flange are fine. The ones joining the tubes are a bit thick. It is a very old piece by the looks of it.

Well...
I wouldn't use it because the wastegate placement is poorly put. I've also notice the that the wastegate is a knockoff and so is the turbo, but that's besides the point

They were just there to muck up a set up. I have a garrett.

If anyone knows what manifold this is can you please let me know. I know a great deal about turbo setups and manifolds actually and am aware of the aforementioned points. The only thing I'm concerned about right now though is the make.

PLEASE no more critiques. If you think you know what it is then please comment.

I know this is not the answer your looking for, but people can make there own.

Welds do look not soo great.

Who ever welded it could of dry washed the welds to make them look 2x better

Looks homemade to me, you can buy kits that just require welding. Besides who cares who made it if your fine with the mentioned shortcomings it has just use it.

Without any identifying ,marks on the head flange, given its age it could have been made by countless companies... or as previously mentioned they make log manifold kits that only need fitting and welding so almost anyone with a tig welder could have made it

It looks solid so I doubt it will crack and for the power levels and turbo selections typical of log manifolds, the wastegate placement is fine.

Thanks for the great answers guys. Powerwise I'm content with them. I just thought if take a dig at identifying it for the sake of knowing what I own.

Many thanks again. This thread can now be locked.

Possibly home made then or something that someone touched up at home. Well function over form. Hope it was purged but regardless it seems a good piece to use for a street car. I've seen and used worse in the past and no creep.

Thanks for the replies.

Definitely looks homemade with some age to it. How much psi were you running on it?

Just because the welds aren't pretty doesn't mean they aren't strong... People are too hung up on appearances.

10psi on garrett t3/t4 57 trim made 345 flywheel horsepower. I've seen similar setups top 400hp at about 18psi on the same/similar setup, so it's ideal for street. Got myself a t3/t4 60 trim as well now.

Thanks for the positive comments. I'm not hung up on looks too much. This is a used, ancient looking budget manifold after all.

Honestly the 57 trim is a better choice, hell even the 50 is better

The 60 trim has a very narrow map compared to the 57 and 50... bigger isn't always better

Thanks Pal. I'm aware of that but unfortunately the 57 trim is no more. I had a brand new 50 trim but sold that as well on the forums.

I plan to run this setup for a short while, if I don't sell it all up sooner, and then go back to my K.

cheers
