When you buy a GM/AEM air temp sensor they give you a bung too.

Just food for thought.

Honda also has threaded style IAT sensors on some models. find one of those and a nut that fits the threads @ your local Ace hardware and weld it to your charge piping. Extend wiring as needed. Done.

Most Honda stock CRV intake manifolds that I am aware of anyway.

just get aluminum rod and drill and tap it, or you can convert to older style to put it in the intake manifold.

I have no idea what sensor that is, it appears to be an OBDII push in style like the 99-00 Civic uses and could be retained by a circlip but its hard to tell from that picture.

Just get a CRV IAT sensor, go to the harware store and pick up the appropriate metric nut for it, have it welded to the pipe and you are done. The read the same so your ecu wont know the difference.

Not many hardware stores are going to have aluminum, metric nuts. Making a flange for a 2 bolt obd1 IAT is much more feasable and chaper than buying a tap for the average honda kid. the one in the first picture looks ghetto, dont copy that haha

If someone really wants a cnc'd adapter to use with their stock civic sensor, I'll be happy to design something that could be put inline with a couple rubber couplers.. Not a big deal to do..

another thing you guys could do is drill a hole in the piping and weld a flange for the itr style iat to bolt on to since it uses 2 bolts.

2.5in. I would prefer a good solution because on a boosted application it is quite likely you will get leakage from a home built fix.

Or you could cheap out, dent the pipe flat, drill a hole for the sensor tip and use two self tapping screws to hold the sensor to the charge pipe.

I think the gm sensor is were its at though.

Sorry for bumping an old thread,
