Default How to tell cranks apart?

A friend bought a B18C1 off the net. We went to put new bearings in it and noticed that the rod caps have to much side-side play. We measure the play and it was .075. Can anyone tell me how to tell a GSR, LS and B16A crank apart?

This is my block. I'm think that the guy sent me a Ls crank. Does the LS crank have fatter journals that a b18c1. If this is true can I just use Ls rods and get the same affect as a ls/vtec? Is there any downfall to this?

Thanks

It is a a LS crank. Would it be best to get LS rods and run a b18c1 block with ls pistons and rods. Would this make more power like a ls/vtec? Could it still spin to 8200 rpm safely? Or should I go get a gsr crank? Does a ls and gsr use the same rod and crank bearings?

Thanks
