Default How to strip paint off intercooler?

My intercooler was painted blk for that steath look on my blk integra. But now I want that shiny look back. Can you use paint stripper on it? Would it mess up anything? Can I use sandpaper to sand it then polish it?

I actually did that a few weekends ago and man does it take a lot of time. Go to your Automotive store and pick yourself up the gel aircraft stripper not the spray can. just pour it on and spread it around. let it sit for awhile and the paint should start bubbling. Then just wipe it off and wash it.

pressure washer would helped clean through all of the fins

Definately use the aircraft stuff. it will strip paint off anything. Just don't get the **** on you or breathe the fumes in if you enjoy life
