Default how much was your turbo setup?

like it says, how much was your turbo setup? including fuel management. include your setup and motor. just trying to get a good general idea of how much people fork out for their setups. thanks in advanced

my homeboys setup that just got finished from velocity cost me a little over 4 grand.

precision sc61
precision 750hp fmic
1000cc injectors
tial wastegate
tial bov
equal length manifold with 3' dp
plus other stuff

homemade turbo style here, using parts I found around the garage, including enginemangement = 300 or so.

but after some upgrading it is up to around $800 now, including wideband, laptop, and a clutch and resurfaced flywheel.

BUt this is also a D. and I am not done. After the built motor and some more junk probably almost reach $2000.

hmmm, at some point I should add everything up I guess...

I'm guessing around $10k+ including engine build up, and custom turbo setup. only labor I payed for is machine work (sleeves, head porting etc...)

5K in turbo setup sc61, lovefab minime,tial, precision inj, hondata,ect....
6k in motor je,crower,skunk2,darton,ect..
2k in tranny lsd,clutch masters
1k in dach, full carbon fiber,autometer,painless


too much more i am forgetting

About $5,000. I didn't spend any money on internals yet either. Most people say "whoa, that's way too much." Not when you're buying quality parts, and not when you add up the price of every stinking bolt and tiny component that goes into the turbo kit.

used kit with garret turbo, tial wg, hks bov, quality log mani, fmic, dp, and pipes for $1800 used for 500 miles.
rc550's $210
hondata 2b/chipped p28/boomslang conversion harness $450
egt gauge, boost, oil pressure, tach $300
tuning $180
custom exhaust 2.5 $150
plus all the small things like fittings, new gaskets, sandwich plate for oil feed, wires, plugs,etc. I also upgraded to a fluidyne radiator w/FAL slim fan which i got together for $320 of ebay brand new.

that was for a b18c1 motor in my civic. 290whp at 9psi.

still need to upgrade my clutch
