Im doing the same thing on my car man so i also want to know..

I know someone that put a Carsound 2.5" Cat on his RSX and Dynoed and the result was a 2-3whp loss ...this was on an N/A car though...but sound levels went down a lot according to him.

I had my car tuned with open DP and just a straight through muffler. I then added a 3" Carsound cat to the mix in hopes of passing emissions. Hahahah, yeah right!! As soon as I put the cat in my car ran PIG rich. I fouled plugs left and right. Not to mention spool up was about 750 rpm's later and boost hit softer than ever. Turbo cars tend to be a lot quieter than NA cars anyways. I think that if you run a full 3" exhaust with a decent muffler you will be OK.

Maybe if you retuned it you might get some good results. Just a thought. I have built several turbo setups with 3" cats and they spool just as fast as without and run awesome once I give them a noice budget tune with my wideband.
