How much for ROD BOLT INSTALL into an LS engine?
How much to install rod bolts into an LS. Also can it be installed while the engine is still in the car? If you cant give me a price could someone give me the legnth of time it took to install.
Can't be done in-car if it's done correctly. The rods need to be removed, and the big-end needs to be resized for the new bolts. Otherwise you run the risk of them being a little "ovaled" with the new/better bolts. As far as price, they'd have to be removing the oilpan, crank, pistons/rods, machining the rods then re-installing everything. Probably a pretty penny to have done for you.

Good answer, it can be done with the engine in the car. I did it in mine back in the day, but only because I knew I was going to be rebuilding it soon anyways. Honestly if you're gonna put in rob bolts, you may as well just save up and do a rebuild at the same time.

Thanks guys... Im just going to buy a short block b18b and build it up for boost completely. I wanted to run a mild LSVTEC build up for now... But since its better to just pull the motor out and rebuild it Im just going to concentrate funding on a 2nd shortblock fully built.
