how much hp...
Intercooler horsepower ratings are silly.
For example: My friend (SleepyEG here) runs the smallest Precision intercooler, which is rated to 350 hp. Now, my DSM's stock SMIC is about one fourth the size of his FMIC, and not nearly as good a design either. I'm still making close to 300 whp on it!
The point is, most intercoolers don't have a limit, they just have a certain point where they start to get less and less efficient.
It's just something to keep in mind when you buy an intercooler.
That looks like it will be pretty efficient to 300-375 horsepower, in my estimate.

you have the absolute, most unhelpful replies in this thread. first you have a smart *** anwser, then you quote and add
...?
anyway, i'd say that the type 31 is most effiecnet at or below~350-400hp, but thats not to say that you cant push more than 400hp with it.

I have no idea what the dimensions are, I was hoping someone would know it but it is a GReddy Type 31, I think...

^^ What he said... It's not like you can't go over the recommended HP rating, but the rating is there for a reason... it's an efficiency rating. More power, more heat, more detonation, More cooling, less detonation

ok so when you go shopping for an intercooler you go to say spearco and ask "how much HP can this intercooler handle?" spearco will say "umm what?"
intercoolers are not rated for HP they are rated in airflow and cooling efficiency...
so i answered exactly how i saw fit... he asked how much HP it would handle.... and for an rsx or civic ep or any other honda FI out there, "ENOUGH" there is no way a street honda could out perform that intercooler...enough to cause a drastic problem with performance..
and the thumbs up reply was because Kpt answered the question exactly, with details... i just was lazy and didnt put in details.
