Default how much does temp effect hp on a dyno

made a few dyno pulls tonight just to see where im at. temp inside the room was 95*. how bad does that mess with power? i know it can change boost levels, but lets just say that boost stays the same

well, an air to air cooler at 100% efficiency, not really possible, can only cool to the outside air temp, and very tough to do that in a dyno room. even the best dyno fans dont seem to work as well as air flowing through while the car is moving.

Yeah unfortunately Dynos have a correction factor for outside temps, altitude and humidity BUT if your engine is hot it wo't make a much power as if it is cooler out. To make GREATdyno #s go dyno in January

Humidity kills #s too A lot of times when a tuner I know schedules on a day and it has rained or is gonna rain, he will change the date.

heat has always killed my dyno runs... especially with no fan... fortunetly our dyno is outside 99% of the time anyways.. but it still gets super hot...

I usually get things workin good, make one BIG PASS then just spend the rest getting little things right... but the power is never accurate again after the first run... even the first run isnt the best because of the lack of air through the intercooler..

for example, the other night I started with 442whp and by the time we were done i was well into the 300's.. but the A/F looked nice... im sure if i had have let the car cool down and made another run, it woulda been up there again... but i was only on for a couple passes, so i had to share...
