How much does it cost to have a compression test done?
Can any mechanic do it, or should I just go to the dealer to have it done?
I have a '96 Integra RS with just under 51k miles. Do I even need to worry about compression problems yet?

no need to worry unless you did somethign wrong with the car. You can go do it your self actually. Just get someon else to crank the car and follow the directions on a compression tester gauge. You can get one from any good tools place for cheap. usualy like 40 bucks for thegauge but with 51k miles and no turbo or anything to put some damage on the motor you should be fine.
I'll do it for a simple charge of 200 bucks!
J/k..Do yourself man.. You can find the steps somewhere in the archived topics.

I'll search through the archives. I had noticed people suggesting a compression test to others considering adding a turbo and was curious what was entailed. I think I'm still at least a year away from adding one to my car. Just learning as much as I can now.
