how high can i go?
right now stock b16a3 block turboed. ctr cams. stock valve train on 6psi. how high is the max i can rev to? how about on 10psi? and if i upgrade the valvetrain to ITR. what would be the max i can rev to then? im looking to do about 9k-10k rpms what would i need to do to get to this goal?
i have been told that the itr valvetrain only works with itr valves or lighter valves. personally i am using REV valvetrain, and spinning to 9400 on shifts and 9000 through the traps.
i revved my stock b16 turbo to 9k like it was its job..but be careful if you drop a valve its over...i would defiently invest in some valvetrain its not to expensive and not to hard to install (just frustrating sometimes). Trying to rev past 9 or to 10k you will eventually drop a valve on stock valve train. What turbo are you running out of curiousity?
does the car even make power up that high? look at your dyno graphs and see if its still climbing. no point of over revving a motor if its not making power up that high and dropping a valve is a bitch, i know from experiance

No.

Turbo and motor size. Even cars putting down 500 will lose power after like 7800 rpms. I wouldn't worry too much about how high you rev instead worry about numbers. A car that has a wider power band can beat most cars that make more hp.
